Beauty

What is beauty? Is it so easy to label what is beautiful and what isn't beautiful? Does someone have to have tan skin to be considered beautiful?  Or is having dark black skin ugly? How can people so  easily passed judgment on other people and races? If you are white woman you have to blond long hair and tan skin and if you are black you have to be light skin and have your hair permed so you "look pretty". And brown eyes are not pretty and Asian eyes are weird. How can people say such things. Is there not beauty in all, in everyone? Are we not all made in God's image?? With all these things said how is a young child suppose to react to such comments? How do you think a little child feels when hearing these things and they look at themselves in the mirror and realize they do not have these qualities that media and society says you must have to be considered pretty? I know how I felt. I felt like nothing and worthless. No good and not worthy for anyone. It makes kids feel like they are ugly and destroys their self-esteem. This false beauty shown in media and required by society needs to stop. It is destroys people's self-esteem and its not healthy. There should be more images in media of natural beauty and embracing someone's natural beauty, God given beauty.

Did You Know???

  • Americans choose to eat less than 0.25% of the known edible food on the planet
  • Modern industrial fishing lines can be as long as 75 miles-the same distance as from sea level to space
  • Animal agriculture makes a 40% greater contribution to global warming than all transportation in the world combined; it is the number one cause of climate change
  • In the typical cage for egg-laying hens, each bird has 67 square inches of space-the size of this rectangle. Nearly all cage-free birds have approximately the same amount of space
  • On average, Americans eat the equivalent of 21,000 entire animals in a lifetime
  • Nearly one-third of the land surface of the planet is dedicated to livestock
  • Less than 1% of the animals killed for meat in America come from family farms

Too many women..... too little time?

What car are you?

So what car best describes you?

Are you a smart car or a gas guzzler?

Missing fall

Drifting

Drifting without a purpose, without a goal, without meaning of today, yesterday, or tomorrow
A miserable life of sorts
Just trying to fit in
Just trying please others
Always in a pursuit of happiness, never having a close grasp of happiness
In a pursuit to please others
Drifting trying to find myself or who I am
Trying to fit in to the crowd
Trying to be part of the latest fade
Drifting an empty life with no meaning

What a shallow existence...

So I continue to drift in this world in the hopes of finding happiness and purpose

Alone

When with others I am alone
When in a crowd I am alone
When alone I am never alone
Thoughts never quiet
Thoughts always racing through my mind
Never have a moment of silence from my thoughts
Never a time when I have peace
My mind continuously rambles on  everything and nothing at the same time
But never anything that has meaning at least

Just empty thoughts...
